Where's a good place to sell '30s to '40s antiques?

I'm in need of some emergency cash, and I've got an art deco mantle clock, old Zenith and Heathkit radios, a fancy student accordion and an old silver-plated saxophone, all dating from the 1930s and 1940s except the probably 1950s Heathkit, all of which work. Any suggestions on where to sell any of ...

From skylark's western youtube link, I'd guess that this is the inspiration for Lily von Schtupp in Blazing Saddles. Doubtful. Both are parodies/homages of the standard saloon girl act seen in countless westerns, based loosely on actual late-1800s entertainment. Blazing Saddles combines that with M...

There's some discussion of the Broiler going on at the Conservancy's Facebook page. Some people are insisting that all that survived the illegal demolition was the sign. However, my photos of the wreckage show a good portion of the building still standing. Was that portion used in the reconstructio...

Spotted the Valdez Futurliner sitting in a storage lot in Canoga Park/Chatsworth today! I had been wondering what happened to it. If anyone is interested, it's north of Parthenia on Eton Ave. (between Canoga & De Soto). Cool, I had wondered what happened to it. You can even see it in Google Map...

Finally got there. One thing that surprised me was the large "STEAKS SHAKES PANCAKES" lettering inside, apparently from one of the old 1950s/1960s signs. I remember that from the old Culver City Bob's, and I think either the Buena Park or Anaheim had it on their sign as well. The manager d...

I noticed these holes in the ceiling, probably from rain damage, when I was there in October. They kept the lighting low, probably to try to hide the holes and the numerous water stains, but the flash from my camera (between shows) caught it. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v281/deannab/theaters/f...

Before the Northridge quake, there was a smallish, one-story ex-Home Fed that was donated to CSUN and moved to the perimeter of the campus, where it served as around a dozen extra classrooms. I had a statistics class there. No art, just a row of nice tiles at the top. When they rebuilt after the qua...

While I'm reasonably certain it's not our mystery location, the angled front reminds me of the building at Victory and N Clybourn in Burbank () that's now the Blue Ribbon Coin-op Laundry, and an identical building somewhere on Whittier (I think...) that's an Asian cafe of some sort.

So if the L.A. Zoo has seven statues of the 14 that they're going to restore, what happens to the other seven? I'm presuming that the other seven are all elephants if the Zoo's seven are all lions. And did the fifteenth statue go missing, or was it too far gone to restore? Hmm.
