They had a "moving audience" theatre at the General Electric Pavilion (a Disney production) at the 1964 World's Fair. At the IBM Pavilion, designed by Charles Eames and Eero Saarinen Associates, people were lifted hydraulically en masse into the auditorium. The building was designed to resemble the then recently released "Selectric" typing element.

The show still lives on in Florida,

AND the Disneyland building also survives. Since 1998 it has hosted "Innoventions"

To the 63-64 NY World's fair but didn't go on many of the rides, the lines were soooo loooong. But I do remember the IBM Egg, the large engine of Chrysler, GM Futurama and Ford's where you rode in 64 Fords thru the attraction.

There is a great CD box set Walt Disney Records released early this year called “Walt Disney and the 1964 World’s Fair”. This set has over 3-hours of recordings from the “Carousel Of Progress”, “Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln”. “It’s a Small World”, and “Ford’s Magic Skyway”. I played a small sampling of cuts a few weeks back on the Buddies Lounge show (episode 55), and this set is worth the money.

As for Tomorrowland, I’m not really a fan of it anymore after the last change in the late 90’s. You look at the old “Wonderful World of Color/Disney” episodes from the late 60’s, and you see the Monaural, Skyway, People Mover and the Jet Rockets all moving at the same time, and it would excite you about the future. Well into the 90’s I could feel that, but now it’s like being in a big city, past it’s prime.
Listen to "An Evening at The Buddies Lounge" Hi-Fi Hour at http://buddieslounge.podomatic.com/ or http://www.live365.com/stations/buddies ... te=live365 Every Friday evening a new show is added! Don't miss it!

The last stage position for Carousel of Progress had the audience exit by going up on to the non-moving stage and up an escalator to view a miniature futuristic city from sponsor General Electric.

CoP was replaced by America Sings from around 1973 to 1988, which used the same rotating auditoriums, except now it rotated the other direction!

It didn't use the CoP's upper floor, though, so they used that to project the World Of Tron addition to the PeopleMover.

Initially, Innoventions had the outer ring of the lower floor constantly moving slowly, as the vestigial remains of the moving auditoriums, but I think they stopped that once they no longer had enough audience for the demo shows that they had there. Innovention's audio-animatronic greeter, Tom Morrow (named after the commander from the old Mission to Mars attraction), sings the Sherman Brothers' "Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow," with was the Carousel of Progress theme song.

Not to bring up a sad topic, but I remember an usher got crushed to death in the revolving theater at one point, at Disneyland....(sometimes NOT the happiest place on earth!)
